Meet Cloud Assess’s Relationship Manager Superstar, Sam!

With a history working in the Vocational Education and Training sector, Sam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Her enthusiasm and passion for customer service make her your go to for any query no matter how big or small.

1. Tell us about your role at Cloud Assess:

My role at Cloud Assess is Relationship Manager. My role is all about our customers and ensuring they get the best use out of the Cloud Assess platform. 

2. What inspires you about the Vocational Education and Training sector?

I have worked in the sector for approximately 15 years. It’s the students journey that inspires me. There’s nothing better than an excited student receiving their qualification after working so hard to achieve it. My role with Cloud Assess allows me to work with clients and assist them to make the student experience the best it can be, and make the assessment process as smooth as possible. It’s great to be able to work with clients and find a solution in their business that works best for them and drives productivity.

3. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I’d love to learn to fly a plane, but I think I will stick to learning to surf for now. 

4. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Canada and South America.

5. What’s your favourite activity?

Going to the beach with my 2 puppies & spending time with family and friends.

6. What is your personal philosophy?

I have a couple……

“Do not fear failure but rather fear not trying.”

“Life has no remote you have to get up and change it yourself.”

My all time favourite though,

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.”

7. Tell us something that might surprise us about you:

As clumsy as I am I have never broken a bone.

8. What is online assessment to you?

Online assessment is a tool that simplifies the process of assessment for both the RTO and the student. It allows all evidence to be captured in the one location and enables the student to work on their assessments at anytime. Whilst saving costs in a business, online assessment drives productivity and leaves more time to be spent focusing on the student. As far as student experience goes, online assessment is far superior to paper based assessment.

9. What’s your favourite feature in cloud assess?

It’s hard to decide on a favourite, but I would have to say the flexibility of how an assessment can be presented and how interactive the system is. Coming from a compliance background, the workflow and student timeline functions are also great features. 

10. What’s the best thing about working for cloud assess?

I am proud to work for an organisation that is so passionate about, not only their clients, but the experience of the student also. We aim to create a solution that is tailored to the individual business needs. I love the diversity of the role.  I instantly felt part of the Cloud Assess family and I am excited to learn and grow with the great team here.
