Course Overview

This is the second module in a three-part series on epilepsy. It focuses on the different types of seizures, how they are classified, and how they may present in individuals. Through case studies and practical examples, participants will learn to recognise the signs of different seizure types and use the correct terminology when supporting people who have seizures.

By completing this module, participants will gain the skills to identify seizure types, understand their classifications, and respond appropriately. This knowledge helps support workers provide accurate information to individuals, families, and carers, reduce risks through early recognition and intervention, and deliver safer, person-centred support in line with the National Standards for Disability Services.
