This course is designed for all registered nurses (RNs & ENs) and midwives to refresh their knowledge and skills in medication administration. It covers all methods of administering medications, including those not routinely used, such as intravenous drugs.
Participants are reminded that medication administration must always be within their individual Scope of Practice, which varies between States and Territories. For guidance, nurses and midwives should refer to AHPRA and local facility protocols. Success in this course does not extend your Scope of Practice.
The Medication Management eLearning Package focuses on refreshing basic math and medication calculation skills. Through interactive tutorials and an online quiz, participants will practice commonly used calculations and demonstrate their ability to perform drug calculations with 100% accuracy.
