I love that Daniel said that because that’s exactly how I see things as well. And Toby and I were talking this morning and I was like, you know, we need to recognize the strengths of each different language model because different ones are good at different things. So I try to say to people, get out of the chat GPT silo and look at what else is out there because there’s lots of different tools. And one of the things that that I was demonstrating this morning was we’ve got some tools out there that are like that that are able to build our courses for us basically creating textbased content coming from our units of competency or our curriculum and then we can take that the one that I’ve been using is course magic AI. We can then take that and take content out of there to go and turn into a video using an AI tool such as Vizla or going use it to create an audio book like using 11 Labs. So bringing all the different tools together and creating a bit of a workflow around what we’re doing to then have a full range of experiences for our students to use.
Key Points
- Don't rely on a single AI tool. Different language models excel at different tasks — educators should explore beyond ChatGPT and look at the broader ecosystem of AI tools available.
- Course Magic AI for content generation. The speaker uses Course Magic AI to automatically build text-based course content derived from units of competency or existing curriculum materials.
- Vizla for AI-generated video. Text content produced by Course Magic AI can be fed into Vizla to create engaging educational videos without manual production effort.
- Eleven Labs for AI audio. The same content can be turned into an audio book or narrated audio resource using Eleven Labs, broadening accessibility for learners.
- Building a multi-tool workflow. The real power comes from chaining these specialised tools together into a repeatable workflow that outputs multi-format learning experiences from a single source of content.
- Student-centred outcomes. The goal of this workflow is to give students a full range of content formats — text, video, and audio — to suit different learning preferences.
