Giving back to the community plays a big part in who we are as a company, team and as individuals. We’re all passionate about making a difference no matter how big or small that might be.
This year the Cloud Assess team hosted a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea, raising awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) during Breast Cancer awareness month. Marketing Assistant, Rochelle Stork, nominated the charity and we all agreed that it would be a great cause as we have all been touched by this disease. We were blown away by the NBCF’s bold mission to achieve zero deaths from Breast Cancer by 2030.

Shocking Stats
On average, 55 Australians are diagnosed with Breast Cancer and sadly, 8 women lose their life every day. Around 30,000 lives; grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, partners and friends, could be lost over the next 10 years. It’s shocking to know that in Australia, 1 in 7 woman could be diagnosed in their lifetime. This is what we’re up against!
Plus it’s not just women who can get breast cancer. On average, 1 in 675 men are diagnosed with the disease a year.
Raising Awareness
Sadly, this year two of our friends were knocked back with the news that they had this terrible cancer. One of whom is our friend and fellow VET professional, Director at VETNexus and Partner at The VET Gurus, Kerri Buttery. Kerri has been extremely vocal and has not rested on her laurels during her treatment and recovery. She even took to LinkedIn and wrote an extremely thought provoking and insightful blog to invoke more awareness around self-checking and going for regular screening. After all, early detection is known to save lives.
Fund Raising & Support
Through the help of our team and community, Cloud Assess raised $500 for the research into effective prevention, detection and treatment of Breast Cancer. Thank you for supporting this great cause. Through continued community support we can all help NBCF on their mission, zero deaths by 2030.
