Who Conducts The Endpoint Assessment?

Endpoint assessments are conducted by Endpoint Assessment Organisations (EPAOs). They must be independent from the employer and training provider to ensure there is no conflict of interest.

EPAOs must be listed on the Register of Endpoint Assessment Organisations. which is maintained by the Education and Skills Funding Agency, a government department within the UK.

How Does an Endpoint Assessment Work?

Phase 1) Gateway

Before an endpoint assessment can be taken, the apprentice must meet certain requirements. This phase, known as the gateway phase, is based on the minimum requirements set out in the apprenticeship standard. The apprentice must:
