Here, we discuss the quality that Velg Training adds to the VET sector, as well as the benefits of being a Velg Training Member.
Australia’s Leading Provider of VET PD and Consulting Services
Velg Training’s vision is to Educate, Inspire and Empower the VET community through quality, flexible and innovative products and services.
There are a number of ways in which they deliver this, including their Velg Training Membership Program. This membership helps support your compliance with the Standards through programs and resources to assist in developing knowledge and practice of VET assessment and training.
This membership is available for all members of the VET sector, from private, public and enterprise training providers as well as VET consultants.
Compliance Consulting Services
Velg Training has a long history of helping training providers with compliance requirements through specialist advice and services since 2003.
Their consulting services have expanded and become more diverse, with a range of specialist services delivered by VET experts who work in a range of organisations across Australia.
These consultants provide individual, custom advice on many aspects of your organisation, including formal document review or an informal Q&A session, and they provide the support and guidance required to make sure your business is compliant with the Standards, ESOS Framework, Government Funded Programs and more.
Consulting Services Include
RTO Set Up and Compliance
If you’re thinking of setting up an RTO let Velg Training show you how. From the beginning through the final stages, they take the burden out of fulfilling requirements, presenting all documents and what steps to take for a successful application.
The Velg Training VET consultants provide custom advice and instructions on important areas of compliance, development and the review processes.
Internal Audit
Feeling nervous about audit time? Make sure your RTO is meeting the requirements of the Standards and have a consultant identify any areas of non-compliance or any that need improvement before an external audit takes place.
Training Product Review
Have your training products reviewed by a consultant via correspondence or face-to-face, which ever suits the needs of your organisation and staff.
You will receive a report with feedback and any amendments that need to be made. This review can then be used as part of your annual quality assurance processes.
Professional Development
With Professional Development Services that include onsite workshops or webinars, even online courses through Velg2Go, there are multiple options to choose from and one that will suit the needs of almost any training provider.

National VET Conference (NVC)
Perhaps the most anticipated day on the VET calendar, the NVC!
Velg Training holds this conference every year in an effort to provide opportunities for delegates to undertake professional development that is useful and meaningful to them, to meet with other product and service providers, and network with peers from across Australia.
During lock down in 2020 Velg Training offered the first ever Virtual NVC, including a full scale representation of the conference area complete with booths and avatars.
The 2021 NVC went ahead as planned but due to last minute lockdowns there were many delegates who were unable to attend in person, and attended online instead.
However, now that vaccination rates are getting higher and borders are opening up, they are happy to get back to face-to-face events and confident that attendance numbers will be back up.
It has been announced that the 2022 NVC will take place on the Gold Coast on 3rd and 4th November 2022.
The theme this year is Building Your Roadmap and will focus on the continued rollout of the regulatory reform and VET in Schools, and the need to be prepared for these changes while continuing to be a proactive participant in this change.

In Closing
Velg Training has established themselves as an important part of the Vocational Education and Training sector, and for good reason.
A true ally to those who work in VET, they can help you complete the time consuming, often arduous tasks involved in setting up an RTO and staying compliant. Plus, they hold the largest VET networking and PD event of the entire year.
I think we can all agree, if that’s not worth celebrating, we’re not sure what is.
